2023 Annual Prevention Academy
May 23-25, 2023 | San Diego, CA
We’re excited to announce that the Pacific Southwest PTTC’s third Annual Prevention Academy will be held in-person May 23-25, 2023! Featuring four workshop options, keynote speakers, and networking opportunities, participants will leave with new skills to improve leadership, build capacity, and inform policy with a focus on health equity.

The Academy will open with welcoming remarks and a keynote presentation. Participants will then join their first pre-selected workshop which will conclude at lunch time on Day 2. After lunch on Day 2 participants will transition into their second pre-selected workshop for the remainder of the Academy. On Day 3, all participants will gather together for a closing event and networking opportunities
The Prevention Academy is intended for those working in primary substance misuse prevention, specifically those who are dedicated to delaying the initial onset of substance use and prevent substance misuse. Participation is limited to those working in HHS Region 9.
HHS Region 9 includes: American Samoa, Arizona, California, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, Hawaii, Nevada, Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau.
